Country Motto: In God We Trust (official) E Pluribus Unum (From Many, One; Latin, traditional)

Comprising fifty states and a federal district, America is situated mostly in central North America, where its forty-eight contiguous states and Washington, D.C., the capital district, lie between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, bordered by Canada to the north and Mexico to the south.

U.S.A. is the third largest country by land area and by population having an estimate of 303 million people. As you should already be knowing, English is the official language spoken in America, but of course even Spanish and few other languages are used. Excluding the State of Hawaii in which the main language spoken is Hawaiian. U.S.A. is a multi-racial society that is still absorbing new immigrants, which makes it a very dynamic and exciting place to experience.

There are a lot of shades to life in the US that you can only learn by living there. Americans do tend to be informal by nature. For example it is common for Americans to wear casual clothing to school and to greet professors by first name. But of course good manners and politeness will only reflect well on you.
